From watercolor painting to photography: expanding expressions through a different lens.
A fascinating personal metamorphosis has taken place over the years, transitioning from watercolor painting to the captivating realm of photography.
With its delicate pigments and ethereal brushstrokes, watercolor has long captivated me. I could meticulously layer colors, gradually build depth and texture to convey a particular atmosphere. Photography added a new chapter to my world. With the click of a button, I am able to capture a fleeting moment, encapsulating it for eternity.
Instead of brushes and paints, I use light to create my compositions. The camera becomes an extension of my eyes, allowing me to explore the world from different perspectives.
I enjoy hunting the interplay of light and shadow, the subtle nuances of emotions and the vibrant colors of the world. From the intricate details of a flower petal, the candid expressions of people or the vastness of a breathtaking landscape, photography has the ability to document reality, while simultaneously transcending it.
Watercolor embraces the freedom of artistic creation whereas, photography presents a distinct reality. The camera faithfully records objects, eliminating the subjective interpretation of painting. However, this triggered a new way to infuse my view in my work, molding the realities I capture and transforming them into deeply personal expressions.
I carefully compose my pictures, ensuring that every element contributes to the intended message. I believe in the power of image storytelling so with each click of the camera, I try to frame unforgettable memories and weave a narrative that resonates with viewers.
Through my lens, I intend to depict raw emotions and immortalize instants, freezing time in a single frame. I seek to portray the essence of my subjects. A soaring landscape, a bustling cityscape or an intimate portrait: I strive to ignite imaginations and provoke conversations. I want my photos to serve as a visual medium for storytelling, enabling you to experience moments and souvenirs you never have witnessed firsthand. Whether it's the joy of some playful kids or the awe of a breathtaking sunset, I try to capture the moment and bring it to life.
